I know October is Breast Cancer Awareness month.
This year, its very personal because I have a dear friend, Tamar, who has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and is brave enough to share her story here. I had a day to myself yesterday and, although almost all of my art supplies are packed away for our upcoming move, I managed to do this...just for her.

She is "The Warrior", an 10" x 12" canvas.
She is strong and beautiful (even though I didn't have my paints available!!).
And I have used some of my great grandmother's lace on her dress because its beautiful and I wanted to!
I am constantly amazed by the strength and beauty of "everyday" women.
