After a tough year, I had originally made the decision not to bother with our Christmas tree this year.
As with alot of families, our's usually goes up on 1st December (which was also my Grandad's birthday - so always special to me), but up until that morning, I decided it wasn't going up.
Then a certain 10yo boy who has always been at my side while putting up the tree for as long as he's been with us reminded me that the 1st of December is the day the tree HAS to go up. It just HAS to.
And you what, who the heck am I to take that joy away from him?
So we dug out the tree, found the decorations and we started the putting up of the Christmas tree for 2012.
And I'm so grateful to this little 10yo boy.
So...I'm going to show you are tree for 2012 which has brought our little family so much joy already.
At the top is always our Angel - and ours is a REAL angel - her name is Billie and I miss her every day.
We have an arrangement of home made and store bought ornaments and I love them all.
My favourites are the pears and the stars.
But what's important is that its up.
So now it actually does feel a like Christmas...even if its only a tiny bit.
Looks beautiful JIlly
